We moved into a house with a forced air thermostat recently and it's been a constant battle over what temp is "warm enough." I'm perfectly comfortable with it set at 69 during the day and 68 at night, my wife prefers 71 during the day and 70 at night. It sounds like a small difference but I swear the furnace runs 10 times more with her settings than mine, it didn't kick on at all during the entire day on Saturday for example with my settings. We're on propane so it's not exactly cheap to heat the space. Also is it worth getting a smart thermostat?
