A firewall is simply setting which ports are open or closed coming into your company.  On occasion you might need to open one, but in general you won't.  Are you running servers behind the firewall?  if not then this is even easier.  Set up the firewall to deny ALL incoming lines of traffic.  Then only communication from inside out is available.
