If they will ban a player half a season for cheating and taking a performance enhancing drug then they can do a lot better than having a few Astros players give some weak — insincere apologies and suspending a couple of managers.

They have a chance to get it right. if the commissioner is too afraid to do it he should work with the players association to come up with a player council to decide an appropriate punishment, then players will have closure and the issue can be officially closed.
