That's a good point about Texas pride being more about Texas than the US as a
country. Based on my experiences living in the midwest and spending a lot of time in the midwest/mid south and southeast, I'd put this region of the country's patriotism for the US as high or higher than Texas. Basically the Bible Belt region of the US is about as patriotic for America as you can find.
