Going out with my family for the Boston Marathon (sister is running. me and 2 other sisters didn't qualify which I'm pretty happy about now that I just get to be a tourist/spectator 🙂 ). Have a smaller group going out a couple days early before the rest of the family gets there. We'll do the Boston stuff the weekend before the race (plus I've been there a couple times already) but would like to get out and see something we wouldn't normally see on the Thursday/Friday before.
Went to the church history museum a few weeks ago and thought of going to Sharon Vermont and then going to Ben and Jerry's and maybe over to Burlington. Through Cougarboard I learned about Quechee Gorge but unfortunately the Boardwalk is taken down in the winter. Also learned that Brigham Young has a little memorial at his birthplace in Vermont. But wondering how great a Vermont tour is during the early spring.
Just wanted to throw this out there for those familiar with the Boston area. It will be mid-April. We'll have all adults and we like to see as much as possible when we travel. Will have all day Thursday and Friday and good with traveling 8ish hours in those 2 days to see a lot. We're active and like to hike and enjoy the outdoors.
Any suggestions?
