Last year, USC broke with their tradition of never playing FCS opponents when they scheduled UC-Davis. It was not well received by fans and boosters. The new AD has reversed that move.

SJSU became available when UGA dropped them so they could play Clemson. They will receive $1.8M for the cancelled game. According to Wilner, they are guaranteed $1.7M for the USC game.

USC will pay $750,000 to UC-Davis for their cancellation.
