Wondering why they made Thornton so devoid of greed. Some of the best scenes of the book were driven by that, i.e. betting his dog could pull 1000 lbs of flour, or striving with his partners to find the mother lode, instead of saying all you need is groceries.
I did like the changing Francois and Perrault to the characters in the movie. I also understand they couldn’t show Spitz dying or Charles and the dogs drowning because they were trying to make it kid friendly.
Still a good show invoking in some respects the original.
