i knew him well.  he was a zephyr brand ambassador.

when the usa was within an hour of playing canada for the gold in 2002, when he should have been giving another great speech, he called me on my cell phone and asked if i could have some badger hats sent to a nice couple he met from wisconsin.

i told him of course, now focus on the game..
