Anything can look like fool's gold early. Gonzaga seems to really be a 2nd half team this year. They make teams think they're keeping it interesting at halftime, then blow them out of the water in the 2nd half. Against BYU was no different. Held under 40 in the first half and a 7 pt lead, then they finish with over 90 and kill us.
That doesn't really answer your question, because obviously we have to do those things you said to actually "have that chance" in the 2nd half when Gonzaga wakes up and turns it on. I guess that's my little addition. In order to have a chance in the last 1/4 of the game, we have to have things falling right for us in the first 3/4 of it. And we have to have energy to finish, and Yoeli not having 3 fouls, whether legit or bogus.
