Five straight sweet sixteens which is unmatched. And in fact for most of a decade and a half were often higher seeded and outperformed their seed and have an ongoing streak of consecutive tournament wins/round of 32 appearances; again remarkable streak unmatched.

In '13 were a 1 and upset by Wichita St who hit a record # of threes that game, went on to the Final Four, and went undefeated next season. When they were a 2 in '15 ran into Duke the eventual winner in the Elite Eight. The next year they were an 11 seed and had Syracuse beat in the S16 and would have gone to the Final Four.

Last year was a tough matchup and tossup against Texas Tech (a great team) in the Elite Eight; year before that they would have won it all if not for some shoddy calls on Collins and others in NC game.

Other years they got unlucky and ran into buzzsaws like Jimmer or Steph Curry. Even so, their record in the tourney is tremendous.

So it's simply false that they underperform — FAR from it.
