food was pretty good but not incredible(we lean a little towards being food quality snobs for the record). I was bored after a few days so we were glad we also went to Sayulita for part of the trip and stayed at a super cool air bnb in a gorgeous neighborhood (gringo hill they call it locally-the main hill in town with all the nice homes) that I thought was a more fun experience than the all exclusive type deal which I thought got a bit boring after 2-3 days.
