IMO, going to Wake Forest would be career suicide, as it cannot compete with the two big boys of NCAA basketball just a few miles down the road. Pope would be better off working his way up through good programs that have a chance of winning than to make the huge leap to the ACC and trying to compete against the gold standards of college hoops.
