So useful though. One of the biggest shortcoming of my 3/4-ton is the 6'-6" bed.

It doesn’t look awful on all trucks. I generally think it looks fine on SuperDuty and GMC/Chevy/Ram 2500 and above.

That's fair, it looks like the wheelbase is extended even further back on the longbed Tundra.
