Yes Ronaldo and Messi set the outlook at the highest level for a while.
#1."No other league has 6 big spending clubs competing for the best players domestically."

Isn't it true that, economically, the top 6 or so have more money to spend on players than the top 6 of the other top leagues? Barca, RM and Bayern are on par certainly with MU, City, Liverpool, etc. All of these clubs compete for the very best players. Barca, RM, Bayern have been well stocked for a while. Now PSG is competing on this plane. I'm talking about the depth the money goes into the league.

#2. "other leagues do more to help their teams succeed internationally. The EPL far more often will cram a tough fixture list around the UCL and Europa games while other leagues are more likely to give a long break before the games. I don’t know if this is true generally or was true a couple times so fans remember it."

I dont know to what extent these things may or may not be accurate, but I suspect there is SOME validity. I remember years ago Juergen Klinsman, when he played at Tottenham, opining that the reason the English national team seemed to underperform was due to the relative lack of rest their players got in their domestic league. So maybe some similarity here.

#3. Similar to #2 above. Buy Liverpool's romp this year certainly is flying in the face of top 6 relative parity.

#4. "the EPL has a faster and more physical style of play, so their teams are more tired and beat up for international play."

Probably minor factor if any.

My question: do the other top leagues have "fanboys"?

A few other things:

I do think, historically, that English players generally were at a bit of a quality deficit relative to Spanish, German and Italian players. Cultural. And I think this has begun to change as a result of "foreign" influence on English soccer. But, the EPL is the most "global" of the top leagues where just over 30% of EPL players are English. So it's not so much that German and Spanish players are better than English players with regard to comparative quality of the top leagues. At some point "follow the money" is or will be the determinant factor in overall league quality.
