would be valuable and nice to find a system that does do that, and in particular seems like something the committee should take into consideration for the seeding.  A team could easily have a great pre-season, then lose it's top two players to injury for conference play, then get them back in time for the NCAAs.  It would seem that team should actually be bumped up a little bit, maybe not quite all the up to where they would have been but at least it ought to be a small factor.
