I was there for 5 days. Three of the days we walked 54 holes (first two rounds with caddies & third with a push cart).
The only course I remember it being slow was Pacific Dunes. That course books up quicker than others. Old Mac & Bandon Trails it felt like we were all alone.
Caddies help with the pace of play, but I also think better/serious golfers are at Bandon. The average golfer doesn't want to walk 18 holes and drop $250+ per round, so I think this also helps the pace. Bandon is in a remote/difficult area to get to. So you really have to love golf and care about it to get there. This I think helps keep the pace at a good level.
