It was her idea to move the bees to the deck. We don't use it much. Before the bees were right next to the lawn and one time she got stung (in August they are a little grumpy when there are no flowers, but still, only one sting in three years a few feet as I buzzed by on the lawn mower).

But it was her idea, in part hoping that the hive beetles are better when on the deck than in the dirt.
