I was in a remote ward council meeting yesterday where we discussed the people in our ward who immediately lost their jobs last week due to schools closing and other things shutting down. There were more than a few. The small- and large-scale economic implications of "social distancing" are and will be devastating.
We are paying a heavy price to flatten the curve. I hope it's worth it. Problem is... we may never know with certainty how much good our efforts really are doing.
