I attended a meeting that someone apparently had the virus (75+ people). Someone, a local (D.C.), tested positive a week later, it was a group from the Washington State/Seattle Area.
My employer requested that I not come in and that I get tested. This was 10 days after the event.
I called my family physician. They told me to come in. I described my condition and history, I didn't exhibit anything more than my regular seasonal allergies. The doctor determined to give me the test, did the swab, and he sent the test in to be tested. It was the doctors discretion to give me the test or not. He had a good supply and decided to get it done. No deductible or co-pay.
It was to take 4 days to get the results. Test was given on Friday morning. I got a call today with the results.
