I've never seen emergency health workers break down and cry
Over TB, HepB or any other infectious disease. Today, I watched middle-age medical workers, two of whom worked in Syrian refugee camps, have emotional breakdowns over what they're dealing with in Europe now.

It is the speed with which this virus goes from 'just a sniffle' to 'oxygen deprivation' that is different. The only way to slow it down is to slow the economy down.

Millions will suffer economically to save millions of lives. Would you rather have a 'limited flu-like' response to this virus and millions of dead? Or the economic disaster of millions out of work and keep those millions alive? If we value human life, we should support the public health officials with their efforts to slow down the economy, and thus the spread of this virus.
