Look at China. One can hypothesize that the rate is flat now due to their aggressive handling. But one could also hypothesize that it's flat because most people have some natural immunity to the virus or are unaffected by it.

We just don't know very much about it. The number of infections is untraceable for a disease that has no effect on so many.
