They are all currently in use without any COVID‐19 patients. Most hospitals don't keep a few hundred extra ICU rooms and ventiltors around in case of an emergency. That is very poor utilization of finite resources.

The fact that we have a plan for more ventilators made by companies like GM and Tesla, more facemasks made by Hanes along with the usual companies, several vaccines currently undergoing testing, and manufacturing of several drugs new and old currently being increased is pretty amazing. Trump deserves some credit for this response. Other nations have just floundered.
