degree in a "worthless field."  Probably paid too much for it.

But without it, I wouldn't have gotten several of jobs that I only could apply for because of the degree, no matter what the degree was in.

Also, having the degree allowed me to go back to school a decade+ later to get a masters degree that will really be worth it. 

So I am one of the so-called dummies who wasted money on a seemingly worthless bachelor's degree. But I'm very glad I did it.
