That’s not what Fauci said
Fauci contradicts Trump in press conferences.
Fauci says the task force meets for an hour and a half to discuss the points to convey, someone writes a speech, and then Trump ad libs during the speech and then the task force answers questions. Fauci says he can’t jump between Trump and the mic and push him to the ground.
He also says things have to be suggested 4+ times before the White House picks up on them.
There is also talk Trump is growing frustrated with Fauci and his corrections. This usually happens when insiders leak info to weaken another advisor who opposes them on an issue, or when the chief of staff is trying to gauge public reaction to a personnel change before it happens.
