Help with ideas for adding internet and TV service ASAP for elderly parents
My wife's parents are living with us right now but are both high risk, both in terms of age and other medical conditions. We are looking at moving them into a possible rental option in our area (there is one option that is owned by a friend) so they could radically limit their exposure, but this rental option has no internet or television. That won't work for them so I'm trying to think creatively on how we could get internet and TV installed for a few weeks to a few months without any permanent installation changes to the rental.

I'm trying to think about the specific technological solutions we could consider and what equipment I would need.

1. Is DSL still a thing? If they have a landline could they get high speed DSL with a wireless modem and then use one of my Roku units and one of my TVs?
2. Is there such a thing as a mobile hotspot that will do high speed internet suitable for reliable streaming? Where would I get it and what would I need equipment-wise?
3. Other options?

They know how to operate a Roku (that's what they have in the room they're living in in our house) but I would want to keep it relatively simple, or else I'll be over there doing customer support all the time, limiting the effectiveness of the isolation.

Any great ideas are appreciated! We really want to keep them safe right now.
