And have 35+ sales people from Chicago to Seattle. Hospitals are mostly quiet. The Cardiac Cath Labs are a ghost town for really no apparent reason. Yes, hospitals like the Univ of Washington are getting hammered. I wish them all the best and safety. Most community hospitals are very quiet.
Hospitals that normally do 20-25 heart Cath procedures are being forced to do only in-house Stemi patients. So they’re operating at a 3-4 patient case load a day. I feel terrible for the nurses and scrub techs in these labs where they are only getting maybe 20 hours a week right now.
Friends of mine who are both Interventional Cardiologists and Radiologists are torn because they are trying to by as altruistic and helpful as possible, but it is crushing their own practices and patient treatment capabilities.
The silver lining for my team’s declining sales #’s are that May and June will probably be all-time highs for procedures.
There has to be a balance where life can start to move forward while still being aware of the dangers of the disease and certain patient groups.
To the healthcare heroes out there fighting this nasty virus, God Bless. We’d be an absolute mess without all of you.
