But what would have happened if we had acted one month sooner? We’d be in week 6 of this shutdown. We would have flattened the curve more. But when you flatten the curve, you also stretch it out.
If this virus is as bad as they say, and it appears to be, there isn’t much we can do. As soon as the shelter in place orders are lifted, it will take off.
I am very interested to see if Italy has run its course through the worst of it. They didn’t flatten the curve. Did it stay compressed? In other words, is the Coronavirus coming down the curve rapidly now?
