We would have seen more cases at the ER. The bad symptoms are unique enough that they would have stood out (nasty mucus in the lungs). The symptoms for mild cases are similar enough to regular cold/flu symptoms that I think many people are just associating them. I don’t think that it is as wide spread yet as some are expecting.
