Incubation period is 1-14 days before symptoms appear with the "average" length being about 5 days. It also takes 5 days for a test results to come in. That means the confirmed cases being reported today are largely going to be from people who were "exposed" to the virus on March 16th or earlier (March 7th - March 20th is the range of when exposure likely would've occured). Here in Utah we didn't start aggressively social distancing until March 16th, so we are just now starting to get to the point where we can see if our actions are having any sort of measurable effect. It will be interesting to see how the numbers look over the next several days.
