Look at it this way, when was the last time in the history of the US there were 3 million people collecting unemploymen?
That would be never.

There was no “unemployment” during the Great Depression.

6% of the workforce unemployed is cause for alarm. Right now that number is roughly 20%.

And it does not count people like me, who have lost 100% of their income, yet are not eligible for unemployment.

Just because it hasn’t impacted you yet doesn’t lessen the seriousness of rampant unemployment.
