Saturday In the Park is a classic.
Now, before I started finding their older stuff, admittedly my first exposure of Chicago was from LDS youth dances where I only knew their ballads. Ah the memories of dancing to Hard to Say I'm Sorry. You finally ask the girl to dance, the one you've had your eye on the whole night. The song is ending, your small talk is going great, you're hitting it off. And then the DJ forgets to fade out and the song transitions to those guitar vamps and now both of you are standing their awkwardly. Are we supposed to continue to slow dance? Do we fast dance? The fast dance part we be over in like 30 seconds when the DJ realizes what's going on. Do we go back to the safety of our respective adolescent groups?
Curse you 50 year old high councilman volunteer DJ for ruining everything!
