some cases by quite a bit. Italy, Spain, the US, the U.K. (their death curve looks terrible), Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada and Turkey all set records. Of the countries I checked, basically the ones with the most cases, only China, Iran, South Korea, and France reported something less than a daily record, and France had its second-worst day, slightly below the previous day’s record level. And who knows about China and Iran’s numbers. It got depressing so I stopped checking.

I guess it takes a while for these lockdowns to impact deaths significantly.
