I was on the treadmill this morning and YouTube suggested the BYU-USC highlights. It was a 20-minute clip. I hadn't seen the game highlights so I thought I'd check it out. (Why YouTube suggested a BYU highlight is something I'll need to think more about!)
Pittman's touchdown in the northwest corner of the endzone in the 4th quarter. The ruling was that #5 (Gyanowoloku ??) pushed Pittman out, enabling Pittman to re-establish himself in the field of play and catch the ball. Personally, I don't think this was the right call. I watched it over and over and I think #5 has his hands on Pittman, but his natural momentum was moving in that direction because he was backpeddling.
Were BYU fans upset at the call? The highlight didn't really show the crowd at all. I thought this was a tough call against the BYU DB.
But hey, it worked out, right?
