airplane to the game. I also rode home with him from the game. Very nice gentlmen and was rocking his Big 12 lapel pin on his blazer. He pulled out his Ipad while we were waiting to board the flight on the way home. he showed me the play where ball was intercepted ending the game. He said that was a very hard decision to review because he was showing me different angles that it actually appeared that the ball could have hit the ground. Nonetheless it was not 100% conclusive so they stayed with the call on the field. Had a long chat with him. These guys get reviewed from their review board quite extensively. He was showing me all the paperwork they also have to submit after the game.
His son is a sideline referree for the Pac12, and he said that main officials for the Pac12 don't have a sterling reputation in the officiating world. (hard to believe) Obviously he said his son does a good job, but the main referees who make the final calls are not looked upon very highly.
