I've never been a huge Star Wars guy and neither has my wife, I had seen all the movies once and my wife had never really watched any besides when she was a little kid. My kids had been asking a lot about Star Wars (Ages 7 and 4) so with all this extra time at home we've been having family movie nights and watching all of the movies as we go. I have to say I was surprised at how much we enjoyed all of the movies, yes even the prequels, my 7 year old daughter especially is now obsessed with the Star Wars universe. I love the overarching theme of the Skywalker saga and feel like I can now better appreciate the nostalgia that so many love about the franchise. But I just can't say that any single film from the entire rest of the series holds a candle in terms of action, suspense, visuals, and story telling to Rogue One.

I really enjoyed all of the originals, especially the Empire Strikes back, Return of the Jedi was the weakest of the originals in my opinion. I didn't think the prequels were as bad as everyone always says, but they were very disappointing because it's such a great story and they could have been so much better. The best of the prequels in my opinion was definitely Revenge of the Sith, although the overacting by Hayden Christensen is very distracting, and makes you wonder how a stronger lead would have benefit the prequels. I also enjoyed the three new movies but I'll have to let those marinate a little more before I can compare to the others.
