When I left SLC two days ago the guy at the Delta gate did away with all the boarding formalities and told everyone...
to just come on up. He was a very personable guy.
On my way home yesterday a woman at the gate in Raleigh followed strict Delta protocol. It was ridiculous as she announced each group and nobody walked up.
"Attention Delta passengers. We'd like to begin pre-boarding for passengers needing assistance...". Nobody approaches the gate.
"Delta One passengers may now...". Nobody approaches the gate.
"Main Cabin 1 passengers may now begin boarding." Nobody approaches the gate.
"Main Cabin 2 passengers may now begin boarding." Nobody approaches the gate.
"Main Cabin 3 passengers may now begin boarding." Everybody gets up! LOL.
It was almost as silly as this: (Dude reminds me of Cory Booker.)
