They will lose their job with us if they don’t come back
They have a good job with us so they will come back, despite getting paid less when they do. I’m not sure if this is the case everywhere.
Here in CA they must show proof that they are either looking for a job or that their employer intends for them to work again soon. If they did not return when we reopened we would no longer supply that proof and let them know they are out of a job.
