Perfect movie. Cast was amazing (Tommy Lee Jones, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Woody Harrelson, Kelly MacDonald, etc), writing by the Coen brothers is spectacular, and the cinematography is fantastic. Even small details in the story are powerful. There is so much depth to the story and symbolism that is more profound that a drug deal gone bad. Its a story of fate and what does that mean to all of us.
It did ok in the box office. It won Best Motion Picture of 2008, Best Performance by an Actor in a supporting role: Javier Bardem, Best Director(s) in Joel and Ethan Coen, and Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay (again Ethan and Joel Coen). It was nominated for everything else.
It's truly a great movie. Not one you should watch in a hurry. It is rated R and there is some gore, but... can I say this?... It's tastefully done. The best I could say about it is that its a perfect movie.
