He was dependent on this expected income as he, his wife and 1-year-old just moved and signed a lease on an apartment.
I'm at a loss at how to help, other than sending funds to help cover any gaps. I don't know anything about the industry, so any ideas or advice on options would be appreciated. Does anyone know if someone in this situation would even be eligible for unemployment assistance or similar?
