If he doesn't have his heart set on doing ICU, I work in outpatient dialysis
and I could make a referral for him. This would be with Fresenius Medical Care (jobs.fmcna.com). I just did a search, and there are job openings for 19 outpatient RNs in the Houston area.
I wouldn't have him take this option if he's just going to leave in July.
