This is confirmed by people I know working in the medical profession in Guayas, who are saying the deaths are much higher than official numbers. I don't have the time or inclination to track down the reports from other countries, as they're things I've seen over the last week or so. You can look for them if you'd like, or disbelieve if that's where you're going anyway.
