Seriously, I wouldn't be so smug. This may hit rural areas later, but it'll hit them hard
And rural areas tend to have a very limited capacity to deal with stuff like this (fewer hospitals with less resources) and a higher ratio of elderly population. It could very well be that this eventually causes much higher fatality rates in small, isolated rural communities than in the big cities. And either way, I don't think either location should be treating this as an occasion to look down on the other - that's just the sign of a really crappy person.
