Last week, Bowlsby said the teams will need 6-8 weeks of strength & conditioning plus a full fall camp before they can play the first game. That timeline would have to begin in mid-June in order not to impact the season. Any later and an abbreviated schedule would be likely.
In the event of a shortened season, the P5 would begin by eliminating some or all of its non-conference schedule. That would be devastating for BYU since it has six P5s on its schedule.
Scott said that they at the mercy of the schools who will decide when to reopen the campuses. If they remain closed into the summer, the season will be impacted.
