The movie was garbage. Throughout our viewing, people consistantly stood up and walked out. I hadn't seen anything like it. Well, later that month I was at a Christmas party and one of the white elephant gifts was a DVD of Solaris. After the party I asked the CEO how he was able to get the video since it had only been out a week or two. He mentioned that he got the bootleg of the movie in NYC. It had been filmed Seinfield-style (using a camcorder in the theater). He mentioned that throughout the movie, the camcorder also filmed people standing up and walking out of the theater.... just like my theater experience. OK, maybe not that funny.
