Wondering about forcing them to use it instead of laying them off.
Seems you would normally be let go then receive a check for whatever outstanding PTO you have. Some were brought back after the PTO was used but some weren’t. I could see that set up preventing employees from getting unemployment until after PTO time ran out if not officially let go. Same effect for company but kind of messes up employee. But maybe I’m looking at it wrong.
