Desert Rat All-American
Hard to see my dogs clock ticking, who is otherwise perfectly healthy
He has been part of our family for 12 years. Still sharp as a tack, very active, and all his senses are keen still.

Just discovered recently a bump next to his rear, and they say it’s five times bigger on the inside than on the outside. Too many vital organs and costs associated for potential surgery, as the risk is too high. It’s literally pushing his anus to the side (already visibly shifted), and now his stools are taking much longer to extract and they’re coming out flat. They said “enjoy him until you can see he starts suffering”.

We haven’t seen noticeable suffering or any signs of pain. But the writing is on the wall since he won’t be able to have a normal bowel movement before too long at all. This is the hard part about getting attached to a pet dog!
