RE: Hard to see my dogs clock ticking, who is otherwise perfectly healthy
We lost our lab a few years ago. I thought he had sprained his left front leg jumping the fence. It turned out that he had a tumor that eventually virtually dissolved what would be the wrist in a human. We had one last night with him, and made a bed for him in our back laundry room/mud room. My daughter sat with him for a couple of hours until he went to sleep. It was the most "lovin" he had in his life. We took him in for the shot the next day, and buried him in our pet cemetery out back, with the other dog, cat, guinea pig, and a couple of hamsters.
