A person changing his recommendations is a good thing you know...
Because if he was consistent throughout it means either he knew and did nothing or now he remains willfully ignorant.

We are asking perfection from people dealing with something unprecedented in our lifetime with a virus we do not fully understand. Not only that but he is dealing with competing interests between public health and the economy - with the reality being of things got really bad we could destroy the economy for decades.

People are going to make mistakes and have to change their thinking from time to time. It is a fool who entrenches himself with a misinformed statement and refuses to change. It's also a fool to expect projections to be right on the money. It's also a fool to not recognize that our actions or non-actions as a society have an impact on these projections.

We're sports fans here, we more than anyone should understand that projections by even the very best experts rarely come to fruition. If they did, preseason rankings would be the same as final rankings.

Even Trump realizes his re-election and what will be written in history books about him for generations all hinge on this response. A guy as pro-business as Trump taking these kinds of actions, a guy who whether you love him or hate him have to admit he doesn't listen carefully to his advisors and is prone to keep the economy going above all else? That more than anything should tell you something.

It stinks. This whole thing really stinks. My business will likely not recover unless a miracle occurs. There isn't anybody who wants to get things back to normal more quickly than me (and all of us in the same boat) but the sad fact is, this IS what needs to happen.
