Apple are a bunch of jack holes. They use proprietary connectors because they are one of the only companies in the world
that can get away with it. And they've always done it. Don't you remember the notch they put into a standard USB-A connectors to force people to buy Apple cables? But their sheeple are all too dumb to know or complain.
