My perspective. As many on here know, my wife has tested positive for COVID-19. Soon after we were all tested and results came back negative.
My wife has been quarantined in the "basement" where we essentially leave her a plate of food and other essentials with minimal contact as possible. This was mostly at the doctors request but also something she strongly wanted to do. I agree it's the best for our family.
Although for the most part (knock on wood) her symptoms are in the mild flu with no fever category, she says this was no ordinary flu. Back aches (lung) were bad. She still has body aches.
As a parent I wouldn't want to take the chance of infecting our children. I can't imagine the difficulty of knowing you could have isolated yourself better and now your child is in ICU. That's something we aren't willing to gamble on.
